Material Selection & Architectural Features

The design combines heavy structural masonry with high-end natural stone elements engineered to withstand Northeast Ohio freeze-thaw cycles:

  • Cape Cod Pool House: Inspired by a Maine bed and breakfast, the custom pool house serves as the visual focal point, mirroring the architectural character of the main residence.
  • Concrete Paver Pool Deck & Limestone Capping: The pool deck features high-density concrete pavers finished with natural limestone capping, providing a durable, slip-resistant surround for sunbathing and gatherings.
  • Outdoor Kitchen & Brick Masonry: A custom kitchen island with an integrated grill offers counter seating and full vision of the pool, framed by brick detailing that complements the home’s exterior.
  • Terraced Retaining Walls & Flagstone Paths: Integrated stone retaining walls handle grade transitions along the perimeter, while flagstone walkways connect the patio, pool house, and outdoor kitchen.
  • Custom Safety Fencing & Play Lawn: To keep small children safe around the pool and slide without sacrificing aesthetics, a custom fence partitions the hardscape from an adjacent grassy play area.
