How is it that July seems like it goes so fast every year? It won’t be long until the kids are starting back at school and the temperatures are starting to cool back down. The crews are still hard at work.
The second round of pruning will be wrapped up this month. If the grass goes dormant again, the mowing crews will be helping with that. If not, the enhancement crew will be working through the properties.
The next thing we are starting to prep for is aeration and overseeding. We will be starting those services in September. Aeration reduces the compaction of the soil to help the grass grow and send roots deeper into the soil. Overseeding will help thicken up lawns or fill in bare spots. There is still plenty of time to add either or both services to your grounds maintenance.
Just as a reminder, we are accepting work that can be completed by our crews over the winter. With the snow being uncertain, we like to keep our crews working as much as possible.
